Yogurt Drink Tamps Down Type 2 Inflammation

Iranian scientists report that a traditional Middle Eastern yogurt drink, doogh, when fortified with vitamin D, decreases the markers that indicate inflammation in persons with type 2 diabetes. The fortified drink decreases levels of C-reactive protein and interleukin proteins, which are common inflammatory markers.
