How to Use the Online Log

To access the Online Blood Sugar Log, go to www.bayercarediabetes.comand click on the icon labeled “Online Blood SugarLog.” On your first visit, you will need toregister to use the program and providesome information about yourself. If you arehesitant to give out personal information,please note that Bayer’s privacy policy statesthat they will not sell, trade or rent anypersonal data that they collect about youwithout your permission.

To upload data, you need to log in to theOnline Blood Sugar Log and click on theicon that resembles a drop of blood. Youcan then enter the date, time, blood glucosereading and additional information aboutthe particular test. For example, you can adda note if you have been exercising or if youtook medication at that time.

The graph is a bar chart with different colorsthat indicate information about that glucosereading. A gray-colored bar means a testis within your target range. An orange-coloredbar indicates a reading that is aboveyour target range and a blue-colored barindicates that you are below the targetrange. The graph also contains a legend thatexplains what the different colors and iconsmean.

The graph can be shown in two modes:Weekly View and Monthly Summary. Thedefault, Weekly View, will show the resultsfor a single week. You may click the buttonsto go to the previous week or to the nextweek. The monthly summary does not showas much detail about each test, but is doesshow the glucose readings. You may alsoclick the buttons to go to the previous ornext month. In the Weekly View, there is ahandy little calendar in the upper left cornerthat allows you to choose a month or a daywithin the month.

You also can print the graph showing yourblood glucose information. Just click on the“Printable Version” button, and it will bring up the print window. The print windowallows you to enter a date range to print aswell as showing examples of report details.Clicking on the “Print Preview” button shows what your report will look like. You mayeither close the preview window or click onthe option to send your report to the printer.
