By: Linda von Wartburg

MedPage Today, a medical news service for physicians, has publishedthe results of a reader poll about Avandia attitudes. Only ninepercent of respondents said they would continue prescribing itwithout reservations, and one in four said it should be taken offthe market.

Although 36 percent of the doctors said they wouldcontinue to prescribe it for select patients, 55 percent said theywouldn't prescribe it any more. (This is actually down from a polltaken this spring, when three-fourths of respondents said they wouldno longer prescribe it.)
