Latest Type 2 Articles
Sheri Colberg, PhD, is writing the 2nd edition of her book, The Diabetic Athlete. Updated throughout, it will cover the use of the newest insulins, new medications like Symlin and Byetta, and all the latest devices.
There will be two new chapters: one on preventing and treating sports injuries and the second on thinking like an athlete. And the first edition's real-life examples and profiles will be expanded to include new sports and more athletes, both young and old.
Dr. Colberg has developed a questionnaire to survey the practices of active people with diabetes, and she needs your input now. If you have figured out how to make exercise work well with your diabetes, this is your chance to share your knowledge and experiences with others.
You can find a link to a questionnaire at http://www.shericolberg.com/athlete-questionnaire.asp.
Information will be accepted until October 31, 2007, and the book will be coming out in November 2008, published by Human Kinetics.
