Diabetes Camping Program Gets Funding From Donovan McNabb Foundation
A foundation headed by Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb has donated $150,000 to the American Diabetes Association's youth camping program.
To honor the generous donation, the ADA has named its camp in Green Lane, Pennsylvania, the Donovan McNabb Diabetes Camp for Kids.
McNabb's grandmother died of diabetes-related complications; and his father, Samuel, was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes nearly seven years ago.
The foundation also has provided more than 20 scholarships to young people so that they can attend diabetes camp.
