Despite the widespread publicity their condition has received, a high percentage of men suffering from erectile dysfunction (ED) have failed to seek treatment with prescription therapies. This failure to seek treatment is primarily attributed to the great difficulty men have discussing ED with their doctors.

Recently the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved the Rejoyn Vacuum Therapy System as a nonprescription, medical-grade solution for ED.

Vacuum therapy, which is recommended by the American Urological Association, was previously available by prescription only.

The Rejoyn Vacuum Therapy System from Pos-T-Vac has a success rate of over 90 percent, according to its manufacturer. It is now available at Walgreens, Rite Aid and other stores nationwide or via the Internet at www.rejoyn.com.

The manufacturer's suggested retail price for the device is $129. When obtained by prescription, vacuum therapy devices may be covered by some health insurance plans, including Medicare.
