New Chromium Picolinate Supplement for People with Diabetes
Nutrition 21 has announced the introduction of a dietary supplement that has been shown to help improve the absorption of glucose in the body.
According to a press release, over 90 percent of research testing chromium picolinate on over 1,000 people with diabetes has shown that the mineral is safe and effective in helping people with diabetes stabilize their blood sugars.
The manufacturer of nutritional supplements highlighted the benefits of Diachrome, a nutritional compound made of chromium picolinate (a mineral complex known to regulate the metabolism) and the vitamin biotin.
Recent studies at the University of Vermont have demonstrated that Diachrome enhances the benefits of chromium picolinate in the body.
"Research findings strongly suggest that this product has widespread applications. We hope to prove that this relatively low-cost nutritional therapy may prevent or delay the onset of.diabetes," said Gail Montgomery, president and CEO of Nutrition 21.
