Hi Eva! My name is Kristen and I've been a type 1 diabetic since I was 11 (I'm now 40!).  I've been through it all as a diabetic...high school, college, relationships, jobs, marriage and most recently pregnancy and motherhood (I have a 1 yr. old baby boy).  If there's ever any questions you have, or you need any advice or just want to talk about how to deal with something, feel free to ask.  During my 28+ years as a diabetic I've never known another diabetic or had anyone to compare notes with and I always thought it would be nice to have someone to commiserate with.  So now it's my turn to help out someone else who might be going through the same things that I already went through. - Kristen

Last year, at age 39, I gave birth to my only child.  I've been a type 1 diabetic for 28 years and, by far, this was the most grueling, yet rewarding, thing I've ever done.  Being pregnant is hard enough for a regular person, but when you throw diabetes into the mix, it becomes that much harder.  If there's anyone that's pregnant, or thinking about getting pregnant, feel free to ask me anything, as I probably experienced it at some point during the pregnancy.
