Despite that epidemic, diabetes educators are losing their jobs and diabetes centers are closing their doors. As a result, diabetes patients are not receiving the information and knowledge they need to help them manage their disease. Hopefully, patients will learn from this video that they should request their doctor to refer them to a diabetes educator.
