New Strip Uses Less Blood and Helps Avoid Retests

By: Daniel Trecroci

LifeScan has introduced a new and improved test strip for its OneTouch Basic, Profile and II meters.

The new strips, according to LifeScan, use less blood than other strips and help avoid re-tests by increasing the likelihood of obtaining a sufficient blood sample with a similar needle.

Additional features of the new strip include:

  • New notched tip helps the test strip stay in place
  • Oval test spot requires half as much blood
  • New blue color highlights the white test spot, making targeting easier

OneTouch Test Strips are available in packages of 25, 50 and 100 test strips.
