i am looking for info on a meter that i was told comes from dex.com.

i took a survey a few weeks ago, that listed gluco watch, memi med meters cgm. which i am somewhat formilia with, but was surprised when i saw the dex.com address on the last meter.  i checked on dex.com both on the web and by phone, and at the time, would not tell me outright, that they know nothing about such a meter.

anybody have any info on this?

If the survey you took was on the SurveyMonkey website, then the unit you're referring to is the DexCom Seven STS continuous glucose monitor (CGM). You can read about it here. DexCom has developed technology for both short term systems (STS) and long term systems (LTS). The STS is inserted by the patient (must be changed every three days). The LTS is "implanted" by a doctor (up to one year of use).

Ted:

The DexCom Long Term System (LTS) is a first generation implantable device. It is still under development and it won't be part of DexCom's product mix for quite some time, if at all (many technical, governmental, financial and legal obstacles can and do occur during the development life cycle).

The folks you talked with at DexCom only know about their current products, not those in developoment. It would be like asking a new car salesman about the availability/specification of a 2012 model sedan. He only knows about those cars in the 2008/2009 model years.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

John

Well, I think there are at least two movies deserving this title. These are Terminator 4 and Transformers 2. What do you think? P.S. To moderators: sorry for possible writing to a wrong category but I didn't find any other category for general chat.
