Hello All,

I am a Type-2 Diabetic. I was diagnosed in 2004, but my doctor believes that my affliction could have began as early as 2001. I take Metformin twice daily, Insulint shots twice daily, and one aspirin daily. I am a 50 year old African-American male. I do not have high blood pressure. Recently, my face has begun to have breakouts. There is a mucous-like substance that seeps through the pores on my cheeks. 

Does anyone know what this is and how to get rid of it? I was told that as a diabetic I may develop facial scaring. Any advice will be benefial to me.  Thanks.
